The short version
We count visits to vokram.ai so we can tell which pages are useful and where people
hear about us. We run the analytics ourselves, on virtual private cloud. Nothing is shared with an
advertising network, a data broker, or any third party analytics product, and nothing follows you
to other websites. If you decline, we collect nothing at all.
What we record, if you accept
- A random identifier stored in your browser, and a second one for the visit. They are random numbers. They are not derived from anything about you or your device.
- Which page you are on, its title, and when.
- The page you arrived on, the website that linked you (if any), and any campaign tags in the link you followed.
- Your browser window size.
- An approximate location — country and state or region, and nothing finer. It is worked out from your IP address at the moment your visit is recorded, using an offline lookup table; the address itself is not kept (see below).
- Which of a small number of named actions you took on our website: opening a section, using the navigation, clicking a contact.
What we never record
Your name, your email address, anything you type into a form, or the contents of a message.
We do not store your IP address in the analytics data. It is read to apply a rate limit and to look up the country and state above, and is then dropped. The lookup happens on our own server against a local table, so your address is not sent anywhere to do it. We do not record your city, your street, or any coordinates. Google Cloud, which hosts the collector, keeps its own platform request logs, and those include the connecting IP address. Google retains them for 30 days for security and abuse prevention, and we do not participate in their analytics.
Why, and on what basis
To understand how many people visit, which pages hold their attention, and which channels bring them here. The basis is your consent, which we ask for before storing or sending anything, and which you can withdraw at any time.
How long
Individual records are kept for up to 400 days and then deleted. Day-level totals - visits per day, per source — are kept indefinitely.
Who can see it
Approved Vokram staff, through an internal dashboard. The data is stored in Google Cloud in the United States. We do not sell it and we do not share it.
Withdrawing, or changing your mind
Use the link below. It deletes the identifiers from your browser and asks again.
Clearing your browser's site data for this domain has the same effect. If you decline, we store one flag recording that — so we stop asking — and nothing else.
